· Councillor for Beaumont Leys since 2015
· Vice Chair of Economic Development Tourism and Transport Committee for last three years
· Member of ‘Standards’ and ‘Planning & Development Control’ Committees
· As a ward councillor I have established very good relationship with the party members, the communities and the residents and various stakeholders relevant to the development of the ward
· Member of East Midlands Regional Board since 2013, as elected BAME Lead
· Represented the region at various party forums, authored BAME Strategy paper that was approved by the Regional Board and submitted to the NEC

I believe in equality, opportunity for all, social justice and delivering development as my core motivations and values. I have campaigned for the party at various levels during last several years, most recently in by elections, and prior to that in campaigning to remain in the EU as well as the last general elections.
